Nominations

Nominations may also come from third parties (individuals or companies) who feel a particular company or person should be considered for an award. In this instance please provide contact details (name, company name, email and telephone) for the relevant company or individual and IPM will endeavour to contact them to submit an entry. IPM cannot be held responsible for any nominated company that does not supply an entry once contacted.

The Judging Process

The shortlist is prepared by a group drawn from Intellectual Property Magazine’s Editorial Board. Regardless of the number of entries in a category, the shortlist for that category will not usually exceed eight entries.

Each entry is carefully anonymised and the category shortlist is submitted to a judging group made up of appropriately experienced members of our judging panel, carefully screened for conflicts of interest. Each entry is marked against the category criteria by each judge in the group. The panel then convenes to discuss the marks and agree a winner in each category. Judging will take place in August 2011.

The shortlist of entries will be announced and published, but the identity of the winners will be revealed in the December issue of Intellectual Property Magazine.

The Chair of the Judging Panel reserves the right to cast any deciding vote should the need arise. The judges’ decision is final and neither the organisers nor the Judging panel will enter into any correspondence about the results.
